Hello. I don't really see that there is anything wrong with your husband going out and leaving you on your own to do some jobs. It’s not like he is off to the pub with his mates all night long. When you husband tells you he is off to do a job for someone, can't you go out too? Have a bit of your own life rather than waiting for your husband to come home. Maybe pop to see some friends or even ask if you can go with him. You could ask him to do jobs for others on certain days of the week so that you can plan to do things on the nights you know he is doing jobs. You have said that he is never there for you and is always doing jobs for other people and not you. If you have asked him to do a few jobs and he hasn’t done them, why not tell him you have found a handy man and that you are going to ring him for a quote to do the jobs you want done. You will find that your husband may crack on with the jobs you have around the house, once he thinks you have another man coming in to do them. *wink*

If of course, your husband is out most of the time, and never really comes home this is somewhat different. If this is the case, maybe you should find out why he doesn’t want to be in the house and would rather be out. Maybe he is unhappy about certain things but hasn’t told you. I would cook him a nice dinner, sit him down and find out what is going on, and really listen to what he has to say. You may find that once the air has been cleared, your husband may want to spend more time at home with you.
