"I'm questioning my own sanity !"
Dear Lynn,

I'm beginning to question my own sanity. I seem to be falling for someone big time just by chatting on this site. I know it seems to happen to a lot of people and I guess I won't know if it is all in my head unless I meet this person. Can I ask for some advice from those of you out there who have experienced something similiar? Thank you

Hello. I think the first thing you need to do is take a step back and evaluate the situation. You haven’t actually met this person yet, so there is a possibility that you could be creating an idealistic fantasy person in your head. You won’t really be able to make a fair judgement until you have met this person, so why not take the plunge as see how you get on face to face. You could find this person is just as great in the flesh as they appear to be online or you may find that you don’t actually click at all. Try to slow those feelings down a little for now as at the moment you only have your own imagination to go on about what they are really like as a person. If you come on too heavy you could push them away so take things slow and see where the road takes you. Good luck x

Firstly we are all designed to be 'in a relationship' Its part of our chemical and emotional makeup, to want, or need to be in a relationship is not desperation, its simply fulfilling a natural need. That aside, its easy to weave a fantastic picture of someone if you've never met, and are remote from them (as on here). Take heed of what others have said here...There are plenty of smooth talkers on the web just itching to get into a girls knickers. No-one wants to be used in that way. Step back from that web you are weaving and see the man for what he is with clear eyes. Let yourself be in control of the situation that surrounds you, rather than the situation controlling you.

Hope it all works out for you.

You must be ready for a relationship or you wouldn't have joined the site, so when someone starts being kind and sweet and all the other things we all long for it is to easy to think... "Yes this is it". ... Spend some time chatting and enjoy the feeling of being liked and wanted and all the other emotions that goes with a relationship. It makes us all feel better and gives us a lot of confidence in our selves. You will know when the time is right to meet up, but don't rush it, once you do meet you will know if it truly is right for you.

Think you have to be honest with yourself and ask if you are 'desperate'..If you are needing to be in a relationship rather than wanting to be...To me if you keep going the way you are you will find yourself in the same situation in a very short time..Spend time seeing and meeting people just on a friendship basis..maybe if one of those friendships turns into romance it was meant to be.....Take your time..rushing will just frighten men away..
