Took my eldest son & his mate to a Lee Evans gig this weekend, 140 mile round trip as a taxi service, lost in Sheffield & took a wrong turn down a bus lane (so I'm told), so waiting for the 3 points & £60 fine to arrive - well at least the lads had a good night - next time they can go by train!

Guess winter is on it's way - not that we really had a summer to speak of, but it was very light early on a morning & I sleep so much better in the dark. No fooling me with blackout lined curtains either - dawn breaks & I'm awake...........so trying to find a positive about winter time is dark mornings &......wait for it..................sleep!!!!!!!! Ah the blissful thought - I feel like a teenager again

Boy do weekends flash by. Actually had a sleep in this morning - so feeling pretty good & very fresh.................!!!!!
Been invited to a neighbours for a Birthday BBQ next weekend - that will be a messy one. It's themed too, so looks like a grass skirt is in order. (not decided what to put on the top half yet) but a big flowery thing is essential for the hair - thankfully don't need a wig - got enough of my own!
Bank holiday weekends are great, extra day off work - bliss.
Next holiday will be Christmas - Aaaaargh!!!!!!!

Returned to work last Monday and felt like I'd never been off after a day or so - need to plan another holiday now.
Had a manic weekend catching up with chores and trying to tame the garden between rain - is this really summer?
Am I getting old when I think back and used to be able to plan, more or less, what to do in advance as summer used to be dry!
I found ants in my conservatory this morning - I'm sure they'd gladly stay outside if it was dry out there, but now they are in, bet I have problems getting shut - so any suggestions would be gladly received.
I hate spiders with a passion - ants don't come into that category, but they are a nuisance!
Had a BIG spider in my bedroom in the week, had to get one of my lads out of bed to deal with it - coward I know, but we all have weaknesses eh!
Anyway - enough for this week, hope you all have a great week to come - I won a tenner on the lottery last night - wont let it go to my head or dream of spending it all at once !!!!!
