went off on my boat with my life time mate and cousin this weekend, as usual we took to many sweets and not enough socks, started to load boat with all the goodies and the heavens opened up, so went to local pub for a couple and put the world to rights, walked back to boat , still heavy rain and lit wood burner to dry out socks, beans on toast all round and then sleep, woke at 0600 to the sound of more heavy rain, which continued all day and night, so back to pub, well it had to be done with the weather the way it was, by Sunday the local river had burst its banks, and it looked like we would soon be going home on the boat as there was water everywhere, Sunday afternoon decided to call it quits as weather was so bad, got packed up and came home, an hour after getting back the sun came out ? now i know i am no saint but i have never been that bad but someone up there in the clouds was having a good laugh, still it was good fun and great to spend some time with a good mate.

sat having a cigi about 0300and saw a badger, come along by the pool at work, thought my heart would go bang it was racing so much, wow what an animal, it was an amazing site and the first time i have seen one, thats not dead on the side of the road.

went down the boat today, did a few jobs, lots of people on there hols cruising past, everyone is so nice and happy, and polite, why cant it be like that everywhere, if you smile at someone in the street today they think you going to mug them or you been let out for the day, a sign of the times u suppose, very sad though.
