Hi, Sorry to hear about your cat, it is amazing how we miss our animals, have had many types still miss them all, worse is when they just dissapear, you always wonder their fate.hope someone else may just be loving them as you did. But it's that never knowing. Thats the trouble with daddies she puts on the charm attack and you melt.

I know what you mean I swore when we got our cat from the rspca that he would be kept outside but he had other ideas and i love him to bits. He seems to know when I am down and keeps me smiling. so dont think you are any different to any other pet owner. Cats are a rule unto themselves and dont seem to take notice of anything we say. x

Hi-your daughter hasnt been takling tips from my son has she? The kind of mess you encountered in her bedroom sounds VERY familiar! My son is in his 30s now, but when a teenager-you couldnt move in his bedroom for CDs, clothing, videos, take-away cartons, pizza boxes, assorted games (video variety), cigarette butts (although in an ashtray, it was often overflowing to the brim) littering the floor and as for his bed-it never ever got made unless his mum did it! Of course being the loving (and brave) parent once a week I would venture to his room to try to make a dent in the mess-hours later, bed made, room tidied, carpet cleared, tapes back in covers, CDs back in cases, clothing hung up or put in laudry bin, assorted takeaway boxes assigned to the trash etc, I would congratulate myself on a job well done. A couple of days later-the room would again take on the same appearance, just as though nothing had happened! His excuse for his mess was he never had the time to clean up-college work, friends, music, going out always more important. In the end I consoled myself with the fact he was a typical teenager and he would eventually grow out of it. However, now in his 30s and with a girlfriend who is just the same, or worse about untidyness-theyre a good match! But in all this I have learned they may grow out of it in time but I wouldnt count on it-and anyway I love him just as he is and have learned to pick my way round the mess! Welcome to their world, messy but loving! V.

Kev - girls bedrooms are no go areas unless you need to throw up for some strange reason. I've given up on Little Pip's. I use tactic... you are not going out until I can see some floor. This results in everything shoved into bottom of wardrobe! Grossest thing found... possibly peach stone in drawer... very blue and fuzzy... or was it the single slice of salami cooking on her radiator?? Hmmm tricky!!! See you at the party sweet. Apple xx

Soppy dad, she will wrap you round her little finger for ever - and why not! My daughters room is atrocious so is my sons, not sure whos is the worst. I just end up letting them live in it until I tell them that it doesn't matter what it is, if it's on the floor it will be place in this dutbin bag and chucked - cruel I know and a few important things (well important to them) have gone that way. Don't do it much, every few months perhaps but when it becomes unbarable, it has to be done. See you at the party NJ x

You're so right, the girls on here are great, I haven't been on long and have noticed how friendly and helpful they are to everyone, especially if your diary entry seems a bit down, along they come with hugs, blow you a few kisses and give you a cyber shoulder to cry on. Just come to the party and I'm sure they'll prove just as lovely in 3D. x

A BIG thank you from us girls I think we are mostly wise ladies (well apart from Susanna, Loulou and Missy - but their heart is in the right place ...ouch - just felt a red stiletto hit the back of my head!)
