I'm trying to remember how I found myself on YouTube listening to the Everly Brothers - 'All I have to do is dream'. (Lovely song, even though it's a bit before my time.)

Nope, no idea...

I was talking with my barber recently and he was saying how he was planning to meet up with a female friend/customer who wanted to talk, but he didn't want to tell his wife because he knew it would make life more difficult (presumably due to jealousy).

I don't think I could do that - I'd rather tell the truth. Does that make me naive? Does it depend on the partner?

It's a rather hazardous time of year to be commuting by bicycle (as I do all year round).

At night, several times now cars have come close to being driven into me, and a couple of times I've had to stop as they didn't give way. I wear reflective gear and use lights, etc. but I guess that's not always enough.

I fell foul of black ice earler in the week, where my bike just slipped out from under me on a roundabout. (I have some nice grazes to show for it, well, one of them is in a place most people wouldn't want to see!) I wasn't going very fast nor turning sharply. Luckily there were no cars around at the time.

I know someone who has temporarily stopped using their bike because of the weather, but I don't want to.

I'm also still wearing my lycra shorts, and I noticed that almost nobody is doing that. (Someone even commented on this to me as they passed!)

I wonder if I'm just a bit dense...?

I've just spent at least half an hour drafting a diary entry about my thoughts after a recent date (not with anyone on this site!), but after some thought I decided not to post it.

Perhaps that kind of subject is too personal for this forum? Perhaps it would have made me seem naive or even desperate? Obviously you don't know what I'm on about...

Perhaps I should stick to 'mundane' things like credit card fraud or the weather? Perhaps if this was more anonymous I'd be willing to talk about such things more freely? (Perhaps I should stop using the word 'perhaps'...?)

Oh dear.

I've just discovered someone has been using my credit card account for the last month and has maxed it out. Hopefully it can be resolved without costing me much money. You never think it'll happen to you...

I wonder has anyone here had experience of this?
