I'm getting a bit excited, a phd has come avaiable with funding that i want to do. It is part of a DEFRA study and will involve looking at how pressures from tractors compresses the soil and alters soil structure and soil topography and how this effects water soil exchanges, with soil surface dictating this. It means will be a student for a further 3 years, and considering i was expecting to finially join the real world soon. Still i'd say i don't have a brillient chance of getting it liek all phds which are funded it will be highly competeted for but since im one the few sad people in this world who get excited about soil i have a resaonable chance.

Such a great relief for exams to be over, shame neither of them went too good. The one on monday was ahrd the one today (thursday) went ok. It was just sods law on boht that the bits i knew in the most detail did noot come up, always seems to happen. It would be nice to have some good luck at some point this year. Maybe its saving up for a lottery win, should really put it on at some point if thats the case. So my last academic exams are over only been sitting them every year for the last nine years and had 20 yrs straight of education....sure thats bad for you.

On another note, instead of revisiong i was part of the B team for NUTC (northern university team championship) for lancaster uni archery club. Demoted from the A team since the british team champs since our top archer could make it and ive been shooting rubbish. We took 3 teams...C team qualified 3rd bottom, B team mid area and A quailified second. My qualification score sucked though i was carrying an injury, day before i pulled a muscle in me shoulder. Our C team fell to Liverpool B in the first round while our B team beat Bradford A 2-1, I scored the winning point with my last arrow...whooo. But we fell to the eventual runners up Leeds a 6-3 in the quaters. However leeds A lost in the final to our A team...well done them, was a great days out.

This entery shows how dull life is at the mo. I decided to change my main photo since on the rating thing i was on about 2.7. Well i dont need that to tell me im no looker, the fact no woman has commented on me looks in a positive way is message enough. Not that im too bothered about the rating, if i was female and had ample breasts hanging out im sure it would be higher, but oh well. Looking throught he photos i have of me, not many, i dont really have any, the graduation one is probably my best. So where my looks fall, time to boost the ratings with a photo of me and my bow....since my bow is pretty shame about the mug using it.

After 20 odd year of education you would think i was used to it but i just get so board of revising. it is possibly the last 2 exams i will ever sit since i dont particulary want to do a second masters or another degree. Though i shouldnt complain i had to sit 8 exams for my finals last year. So just water quality modelling and environmental toxicology to get though then it me master project all the way, and who said education is not fun anymore.
