Don't know how long you've been widdowed - but I find it helps to have friends you could sound off to. Sometimes family are too close. I was widdowed 3 years last Monday.
I agree with what 'keepmekeen' says - except for things getting easier - I would say it gets different. I just try to think of all the good times, sounds corny, but I deffinately feel it helps and I do laugh more now than cry.

this might not help right at this moment but....it gets easier with time.....you will understand that when you are ready & only when YOU are ready (I rekon you are saying to yourself....yeah right, what do you know. ect ect, believe me I KNOW! 8 years on!!). I understand the feeling of being lonley after being recently widowed & wanting to be held & loved & everything that goes with it but...in time.....you will find your true self again but you wont forget & god help anyone that tries to make you forget...good luck, it WILL get easier xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
