Garry & Debbie Started chatting to Deb a few years ago.. General chat.. did ask a few times if she'd like to meet up for coffee but she'd always say no! One day though she said yes and we've never looked back since!

Just back from taking 44 students on a trip to portugal, its amazing how long it takes to get such a large group through customs, security etc.
Was a real eye-opener for them and staff to see the poverty in Lisbon, learn about the recent history, see the effects of a dictatorship relatively recently overthrown and experience the patriotic pride of the bus driver in the buildings in and around porto.
The challenge was added to by the tour company dumping us in an hotel with a non-english speaking bus driver and no guide or anything. My language skills are reasonable, but i found it really difficult to get a handle on portuguese.
Just as well that when we had to call out a doctor to a suspected concussion and broken arm (two different pupils and both fine now), he spoke french, so we could hold the consultations and make arrangements to be taken to hospital by ambulance in some manner other than through dictionary and phrasebook!
Another week of the easter holidays to recover - phew!
