Cycle rides, walking, household duties,occasional night out, occasional weekend away,web surfing.

Well I'm an honest(honestly!), sensitive, easy-going, affectionate man with a robust sense of humour-ok a dry understated wit- and a love of nature and family life. My appearance is clean and tidy with a smart/casual dress sense but I'm no fashion icon. I have a wide range of interests, the more active of these being cycling and country walking, partly for fitness but largely because I love being out soaking up(sometimes literally!) the glories of nature. Gym's I find boring. In quieter moments I love reading-occasionally novels(Wilbur Smith,Harlan Coben etc)- but mainly non fiction - health ,science, spiritual, social issues and current affairs. Music is the food that my soul seeks depending on the mood - from classical: Pavarotti, Katherine Jenkins; folk: Kate Rusby, Steeleye Span; pop& rock: Queen, Elton John, Celine Dion, Eva Cassidy amongst many others. I'm also looking to develop a long held interest in nature photography for which I'm currently saving for a digital SLR. I like to socialise and love good conversation on all topics but prefer a small group of friends as I'm not a gregarious person. I dislike city centre 'Nite Spots' preferring out of town restaurants/cafes and country pubs. I have a flair for the practical, although a female perspective on aesthetics would help enormously! My happy, positive, quietly spoken, disposition enjoys life's little comforts but I'm not overtly materialistic. I believe true happiness & wellbeing come from within and are not found in mammon and merchandise. My quest is to share a fulfilling life with a true friend, someone who is tactile, caring and who is free thinking and open minded. I might be persuaded to revisit dancing with any lady who is keen to trip the light fantastic. If my profile fits your wish list then I look forward to hearing from you.
